N. Pallua, M.D., Ph.D., was born in Bruneck (South Tyrol, Italy). Professor Pallua is a Full Professor und Director of the Department for Plastic-, Reconstructive-, Hand- and Burn Surgery at the University Hospital of Aachen (RWTH) since 1997.

In 2003 he was appointed Honorary Professor of the Surgical Hospital of Nanjing/China and in 2005 as Honorary Director for Plastic Surgery at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Yixing/China.

In 2008 he was appointed Honorary Professor of the Rumanian Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Professor Pallua has published multiple scientific and clinical papers and is a reviewer of numerous international medical journals. He is also a member of the most important and renowned associations, societies and federations.
